Attacking a person stating a personal position, rather than the position itself, when the attack on the person is completely irrelevant to the position the person is making. That’s the definition of an ad hominem attack. Literally, ad hominem means “to the person” as in being “directed at the person.”
The ad hominem attack is—by it’s very definition—a tool of the weak minded who takes the low-road because they cannot present a worthy, relevant counter-point to the victim’s reasoning…which was in this specific case
very clearly stated to be a personal opinion.
Ad hominem attacks infects a poisonous venom into online culture, which is exactly why Rule #3 exists not only at HealingWell, but a virtually every civil social media site: No posts that attack others.
When did this behavior become accepted at HealingWell, and does the site administrator know that this is being tolerated?
