By the term "mask", the rule of thumb that I was exposed to was that if you're on flomax or any of the other BPH drugs or supplements, your PSA will be approximately 50% of what it would be without it. So, if you're on one of these meds, if your PSA comes back at 4, double it.
I've heard/read of that using PSA doubling 'rule of thumb' if you're on finasteride or avodart but not for flomax/tamsulosin and the other alpha blocker drugs, which leads me to question my post treatment PSA results because I'm still taking tamsulosin daily.
