So, I was looking at the standings in MLB.
No, not who is in first, but all the last place teams.

What I'd like to see is a tournament of the last place teams.
This would be where they would really be playing for pride.
It would be double elimination.
But not the normal DE.
This would be, win two games and you are out.
I have to think that the players would play their best ball all season.
And the owners would be doing their all to get them to lose.
Almost a guaranteed turnover of Managers (sorry Ned!)
And the ultimate loser would get 5 first round picks in the draft.
They could trade them away for proven talent or gamble on a new future with the young bucks.

Wouldn't the five first round picks give the teams a powerful incentive to lose?

Exactly!!!

But young men having a certain amount of pride wouldn't want to be known as the worst team in baseball.
So, while they are trying to win, the owners are putting all sorts of pressure on the managers to lose.
And we get to see, hopefully a spectacle never seen before.

We might have to put in certain rules about what players can play. Like only players who have been on the roster for at least 60 games?

I like it. Think of all the long-suffering fans from all over who never have seen a chance.

Reminds me of one of my other desires: find the worst 2 teams in college football, have them play in their own Bowl game. Play it somewhere like Pierre, South Dakota, and call it....wait for it....The Toilet Bowl.

But, I like your idea of finding some back water to play.
I vote for Detroit, MI.

I was there once, I think it fits for the perfect setting for the Toilet Bowl.

Yes, yes I am.
They are sitting in second to last place right now.
24 games under 500, and 23.5 games behind Minnesota.
If they keep this up they will lose over 100 games, I'm just glad we aren't Baltimore.
I wish Glass would spend some more money.
It's been 4 long years.

I would suggest the toilet series be played at the University of Southern North Dakota, most well known for being the academic home of one Professor Peter Schikele, musicologist and only researcher into the life and works of JS Bach's least known child, PDQ Bach.
