Nutrition Studies

Basically, it says to be very wary of "nutrition studies", and superfoods: The evidence just isn't there. Think about it.

I suspect our species evolved to be highly compatible with a VERY wide range of food - we ate whatever was available at a given time. Often times different foods may have been sporadically available. Sometimes, there may have been a bonanza of a certain food. Perhaps we gorged ourselves on a Woolly Mammoth, then later there may have a glut of berries.

Point is, the old mantra of a variety of foods in moderation, and occasionally beyond moderation, makes sense to me. Besides, I love eggs, and occasionally, bacon. 😉

Few things in life (and essentially nothing in nature) are a “1” or a “0,” so the wise words I would offer are “choose wisely” and “look for the preponderance of (quality) evidence.” If you think you want/need to wait around for that “1” or “0” you will be waiting a long time.

I’m convinced. I’ve got a dozen Fudge Brownies in my fridge, with my name on it.
