Many years ago, as a young Trooper, I was often assigned radar detail. at this time I do not recall exactly what type radar beam was used. However, it was microwave with K, KA or X bands. It was common practice, during slow times, to rest the hand held set on your lap without disengaging the trigger. I have often wondered if the radar beam may have had some influence on PCa. Many times, during locker room banter, someone would mention that it is not a good idea to engage in such a practice. As it could cause cancer.
Does make you wonder.
