Sling Surgery gone bad, caused ED

Has anyone ever heard of advanced sling surgery causing ED? After spending a year post rp getting back to good sex with only pills, I'm back to ground zero. Actually worse than after rp.

I was told by 2 top surgeons that ED was not a risk with sling but getting the sling too tight or too loose was a risk. I went with one of those surgeons and ended up with too tight and unexplained ED. Pills did nothing anymore. After 8 weeks I went back into surgery to release the sling because I couldn't void well enough, had a lot of perineal pain and the ED. After sling release, ED has not improved yet. And yes, my mild incontinence came back. At this point, it's been 6 weeks since release. Waiting for 3 months to see how things settle out.

Any advice?

Yep, I'm hoping that time will help.

I have done the trimix and it doesn't work as well as it did a year or more ago when I used to do that.

At this point don't know if it's vascular or nerve. Planning on doing some testing to see if we can find out.

Sigh. RP does it's damage. Sometimes RT does it's share as well. As one who has occasionally considered both AUS or slings and even maybe prosthetic implants, It is always such a bummer to read about the problems that occur with the things that are meant to fix the problems caused by the thing meant to cure the PC problem. But it is what it is, life has it's ups and downs, at least while we still have life. I'm sorry to hear about this, and I hope it heals itself for you pretty soon.

I had a sling for incontinence implanted in 2011 and it had absolutely no effect on ED.
I had it before surgery and I had it after. :-(
