Medical algorithms

A friend's son is in med school and reports having to memorize algorithms in flowcharts for treatment decisions on all sorts of disorders. Which got me thinking about whether there are PCa algorithms, given that we spend so much time and energy trying to discern the best path at initial treatment, BCR, etc. I found one from MDA, which includes disclaimers that it's tailored to MDA's patient population; anyway, here it is if anyone's interested:

Just wondering if anyone's had any experience with PCa algorithms. Might be nice to know, when faced with making a treatment decision, what some of the major treatment centers' algorithms suggest as acceptable and/or optimal choices.

I just read through the MDAnderson algorithm regarding my dx status. I followed it very easily right to the treatment I received. For the ADT the algorithm proposed “2-4 years”, my MO proposed 18-36 months and my uro said 36 months. I went with the 36 months. Interesting that nine years after my treatment, the algorithm is very much in line with the standard of care that came out of the SWOG BOLLA study regarding unfavorable-intermediate and high-risk disease.
