ADT Hot Flashes & Oxybutynin

I meant do do a search for this before I posted, but here we go anyway. I am on my second round of ADT since my chemical breakthrough and this time my hot flashes were epic, especially at 3 AM. I complained about them to my oncologist and she put me on gabapentin once a day at night. I thought (incorrectly) that it wasn’t doing anything.

My wife had read something about oxybutynin being a possible solution. So I mentioned this to my oncologist and she said it was worth a try. She suggested that I stop the gabapentin for a couple of days before I went on the oxybutynyn. This is where I found that the gabapentin was actually doing something. I had the most incredible hot flashes that evening. So, 48 hours after stopping the gabapentin I took the first dose of oxybutynin. That night I had exactly zero hot flashes!
