I still have the last two Sears and Roebucks catalogs ever mailed to me. I'm saving them because I figure my grandsons will find them amusing when they clean out my bookshelves and see what things used to cost. But given the TP situation, the catalogs may not last that long.
Meanwhile, my wife just got lucky. She went to the Thursday early morning geezer shopping hour at our local supermarket - dressed up like an astronaut. Afterward she stopped at the CVS pharmacy to pick up a prescript
ion for my 95 year old mother. She reflexively checked the TP shelves at CVS, which of course were empty. When she got to the cash register there was a woman ahead of her who had all the TP - more than a dozen packages of 8 rolls each -- piled in a shopping cart. The cashier told her she could only have two packages. The woman feigned surprise. My wife then helped herself to a package from the cart the woman had to leave behind.
