Zytiga and cold medicine

Woke up this Sunday morning with a nasty cold and big time runny nose . Surely not going to get a doctor on Sunday morning.

Does anyone know of otc meds that may help? I checked Zytiga website and found dextromethorphan does not do well with Zytiga.
Anyone else have same isues? Just wondered what you used?

Nothing more miserable than a dreaded cold!

I have been on ZYTIGA for over 5 years.

I have taken low-dose Benedryl to reduce sinus congestion, when I have had a cold.

A couple of years ago, I got a lingering cough - - - following a cold.

Eventually, my oncologist said to take a decongestant, that included dextromethorphan. He recommended an over-the-counter brand for me.

But --- important to state --- this was following a consultation with him.

Meanwhile, check and see if your ZYTIGA prescription has a patient pharmacy helpline number.

You could also submit an online question to your doctor on your online patient portal ---- which might get answered early tomorrow.

Meanwhile --- rest and plenty of water can help.

When I have a cold, I drink hot tea with lemon slices ----or cold water with lemon slices can help.

Have some comfort foods --- and there's nothing wrong with chicken soup!

Since catching a cold seems inevitable, it would be good to double-check with your doctor to find out the recommended guidance for times like these --- for now and down the road.
