Ejaculation

Hope this is not too personal. I've had just 6 sessions out of some 50 plus planned on. Some major setbacks had me too afraid to continue (I may after TURP or more likely will have RP) In any case that is not the point
My question is about ejaculation and if it's not a good idea. I did and it was much as it ever was no blood and not much force behind it. It was also not retrograde if I'm using the correct term- in other words it came out not inward as it had in the past.
Is this advisable?
My guess is to enjoy while I still can but can hold back on this if it's detrimental to my health.

Glen, I highly doubt that ejaculation in this case could be detrimental to your health. If you complete the radiation treatment plan, you could encounter some pain upon ejaculation occasionally, especially in the couple of months just after completion of treatment.

To further elaborate the "if you complete radiation" scenario, odds would be that if you did choose to complete radiation treatment, you would maintain the ability to ejaculate for some months, then your ejaculate would gradually dry up until you have little to no ejaculate at all. For me, that process took about 2 years. Orgasms still feel the same, maybe even stronger, but there is only about a drop of fluid released, and that just drips out with no force, often 15-20 minutes after orgasm.

I wasn't surprised at this outcome, as others had alerted me to expect it.

Glen, one of the new things that I "knew" but never appreciated is that sexual activity, sensation, orgasm, and ejaculation are all different things. I, as one of the guys who no longer have a prostate due to surgery, have a very clear view: ejaculation is completely a thing of my past. Being sexually active, and enjoying it immensely, and having orgasms, are all very much a part of my life.

In your situation, with your other issues (sorry, I can't spell, much less pronounce the term you used for your splitting foreskin and other stuff), I'd be hesitant about sexual activity because of that--not because of the PC treatment.

In short, if things work in that department--then feel free to do as much or as little as you like. My surgeon, in his post-surgical instructions pointed out that your wife's 'equipment' in that department is particularly functional in helping healing happen.

The blister was my foreskin. It stretched to the breaking point. It's not the way it used to be but it's not painful anymore

If it's not causing any evident problems, I'd say get it while you know you can.

I did not think of that. My assumption was I'd only get to speak about anesthesia issues just before the surgery. I'll ask if I can see a specialist before that.
Yes most of my fear is that I'll die on the table. I have had bad experience with this. First was years ago when I found out I had a severe reaction to midazolam a mild sedation that sent me to the 7th level of hell. I had paradoxical severe anxiety. I did not know 100% that it was the midazolam until I was given it for another surgery and bam! The next was waking up during hip replacement. I had a epidural but thought I was to sleep through the surgery. They did put me back out but scared me and the doctor who thought I'd break his table. Lastly was when they woke me up inside the MRI tube because I stopped breathing under anesthesia.
So yes I'm scared

Glen,

I did 45 sessions of IGRT. Once I started FloMax (and, subsequently, Rapaflo), I had the "dry heaves". The feeling of orgasm was normal - - but the well was bone dry.

Two weeks after doffing Rapaflo - all is good and Mount Vesuvius once again erupts with a respectable "lava flow."

I'm in a better mood today and that helped boost it. I suppose it's normal to have these emotional ups and downs. When a final decision is made and a date set I'm sure I'll return to the reasonably happy person I usually am.

Sorry I tend to gripe and am constantly changing my mind on treatment options but I am taking the information and advice very seriously so thanks everyone.

Had my bi annual visit to my cardiologist. I'm still in Afib but doctor was happy with my weight loss and my blood pressure was almost perfect.
I asked about surgery and he said he'd give the okay and said my risk factors will be well taken care of. I'll have to stop the blood thinner 5 days before surgery. I'm cleared for a month or so but have to see him again if it's any longer..
I'm thinking April or May

Yep I'm from Washington avenue 179th to 180th street but moved to Norwood in 1966. Poughkeepsie in 1986 back to Manhattan in 2005 plus still have a place in Wappingers Falls
