Anyone have experience with orgovyx? It is being recommended for husband who has advanced prostate cancer. Previous treatments were RP in 2013, radiation in 2014, Casodex monotherapy 2017 to 2020, then nilutamide 2020 til now. The antiandrogens seem to have stopped working as well as possibly causing liver issues so doc at Moffitt Cancer Center is wanting to start orgovyx. This has been an eight year battle with pathology after surgery indicating T3b. The monotherapies were able to suppress any PSA increases but I guess time has come for more serious action. Thanks for your thoughts.

Our friend Steve55777 has a current post and thread regarding this new drug. He started taking it recently.

It is in the same class of ADT as Lupron and Eligard and has similar properties in that it induces chemical castration. If he is hormone refractory on Lupron/Eligard he may also be refractory on orgovyx. Given the liver issues sounds like he might have been on the blockers like Xtandi or xgeva.

Hopefully a change may offer an advantage. Some have also had success on Firmagon. And there is now erleada as a blockade. Another possibility is the newly approved immunotherapy combination of opdivo and yervoy. Hopefully he has several effective options and Moffitt is highly regarded.

I have been on Orgovyx for about 4-5 months now.

ADT side effects have lessened, not gone away but are less severe.
No additional SEs. And PSA is stable
