I was very taken aback to hear of your situation with the stroke. But at the same time heartened to see your use of the word "mild" in describing it.

I am hoping that particular word usage is telling me that you will get, and are getting, the better of it, and while the road ahead may be rocky at first, your efforts to right your ship, along with the passage of time, will eventually see you achieve splendid success.

I certainly hope so. The rich verbal tapestry that you weave with your unique style of speaking in your posts regularly enchants and informs us. Along with, as you might put it yourself, your colorfully expressed wisdom, and wisely expressed colorfulness.

I certainly wish you the best possible recovery, and look forward to your future, enlightening posts.

Logos, I feel repeating the things that screw you up is the key to recovering from a stroke. After my “mild” stroke I’d fall on my butt going back for a lob (pickleball) …. a year and a half later, much better …. and I don’t stumble as much when I walk. I really feel the brain rewrites around the point of the clot ( in my case near the cerebellum) if you repeat the actions that give you problems.

RCS...I tend to agree with you,,,first of all I'm sorry about your stroke...as i think it was not so "mild"...I did not have a clot...mine was indeed mild as it happen 3weeks ago today and the left side of the brain hence affecting the rt side of the body...at first i was basically cripple on the rt leg and collapsed I managed to get up with wifes help and stabalized myself and called 911 ambulance came fast the managed to stabalize me more and was rushed to the emergency room...I was freaking inwardly. then after all kines od scans the fond it no clot...jusr blood vessel damage I was held overnight and released a 2pm...my B/P is now under control and im recovering well...Iam/was lucky...yes the brain has amazing recuperative power...i am wish you the best is your contiuing recovery...mind over body never stop believing...logo ps will add that the next day id did start to slur me words some and started to have problems with my gait and with typing and getting my thaughts out effectively still have that problem but is getting better...even this post was faster...can disguise it tho because I always wrote "funny" lol
