Hello, Geordi ---
I have been well served by Mayo Clinic ---- just a few hours' drive away for me, as well.
A prostate cancer"battle brother" friend of mine --- also a Mayo Clinic patient --- said it this way:
"Heck, I have driven all DAY to go to sporting events or concerts in the Midwest. Why on EARTH wouldn't I drive a few hours up to Mayo Clinic, in the interest of my HEALTH?"
That thought has ALWAYS remained in my mind and memory.
In that statement, so much wisdom was in his words.
You have everything to gain by seeking out additional expertise and a valued second opinion.
I call Mayo Clinic my valued "second set of eyes" ... watching over my case.
A little gas in the tank, and you'll be in Rochester ... peace of mind.
The sooner you make the call, the sooner they can work you in.
My consultations are on the 7th floor of the iconic Gonda Building on the Mayo Medical Campus --- the urology department.
Plenty of restaurants, coffee shops, cafes, parking ramps, and hotels all around the Mayo Campus. You park your car & can easily walk to the buildings on the campus --- not unlike a college campus, so to speak.
Keep us posted --- and remember my friend's words of wisdom about the distances we are willing to travel for sports or entertainment events!
Best to you, Geordi!
