Thanks, Cyclone-ISU, I will be contacting my insurance to see what it would cost to change over to Mayo, and get a remote consultation. I first heard about
Dr Kwon from you in 2016 but he had a 7-month waiting list and MD Anderson got me in within 2 weeks.
Today I still have a MO in Tulsa but also see a MO in Houston at MD Anderson about
2 or 3 times per year.
With my recent PSA increase he does not want to put me in his clinical trial because some test results were elevated (cholesterol 200) (A1C 6.3). And also, my weight was 216lbs he wants 195lbs I'm 6'3" If I'm down to a healthy weight by June appointment he will probably put me in his clinical trial. But if I'm not he recommends Zytiga or Xtandi which is the standard of care.
I know he is probably right; but you know I'm G9 stage 4, the clinical trial would be cool.
Larry E
I have PSA test Wednesday morning.
And see my Tulsa MO April 10th.

Hello, Larry ~
We have some common threads in our diagnosis, including high PSA at diagnosis and lung involvement. My treatment history is revealed in my signature below.
I will second Tudpock's advice. It's March and a June appointment is fairly far away.
Dr. Kwon has been a member of my medical team at Mayo Clinic, since I first met him in 2015.
Scans can be shared electronically. Is it possible to have a remote consultation? Just thinking aloud.
Has your local oncologist suggested ZYTIGA (now available in generic form as Abiraterone Acetate) or XTANDI? Both are oral medications, taken at home.
Wanting all the best for you. Keep us informed on your next steps!
With my best ~
