Probably a silly question after prostate biopsy

Silly question but be gentle, I can be a bit weird. I had a biopsy two weeks and one day ago. I haven’t ejeculated at all because I didn’t want to do anything to stress the prostate, I had 24 cores taken, and also I just didn’t want to as I was afraid or hesitant about blood in the semen. I also had a camera in the bladder so thought my urethra might be sensitive and cause pain. But then I read somewhere that regular ejecullations might be necessary.

What are others experiences? Will blood just go away by itself as the prostate heals and I keep drinking water to flush I or do I need to be sexually active. Doc didn’t advise either way.
it was just the thought of blood in the semen, yuck, no thanks, I can wait.
any advice?

I believe most of us here "helped it along" by ejaculating (some frequently) after the biopsy.

Water does not really flush the prostate. The “stuff” has to be expelled one way or another. After I did it the first time and made a nasty looking mess, I decided my wife should probably not see that and told her we might have to wait awhile. Lasted a long time. Just get after it and it will become a bad memory some day.

Thanks guys, that eases my mind. I was unsure of what to do. Medical advice is that normal sex can resume after a week or so, but you are always hesitant.

You probably need to have several sessions to get rid of the gunk. It's going to look like used motor oil.

Carried on plumjammish with me for over 2 months. I diligently expelled as frequently as possible; thankfully my wife is an artist with a punky sense of humor, and she thought it was fun to characterize the precise hue on any given occasion:

oxblood, mahogany, burgundy, maroon, claret, mulberry, mauve...

I'd encourage you to find things to chuckle about through whatever comes your way in this journey.

Well, I , um , did 'the deed' - twice. I actually feel heaps better now. Before I had a weird feeling like I was bloated down there, now it feels normal. I am glad I didn't wait 6 weeks as obviously the pipes just needed a good 'ol flushing.
I must say, it wasn't as bad as I expected, just brownish-red
