We just received our 2nd PSA and it's a big whopper of an undectable!
Here's what we learned:
As you can see by the sig - we had some cancer cell leakage. It's "possibly" in the bladder sphincter tissue. Our doctor says that if we stay undectable on PSA tests for 24 months, then we're free and clear (as best as that can be predicted). He also says that there is a 20%-50% chance of return within that timeframe. We're very thrilled with this 2nd PSA and remain positive that we'll make it to the 24-month mark.
The doc also said that almost everyone with lingering leakage has a "magic" turning point at the 9-12 month mark following surgery. It will get better all of a sudden as the scar tissue works itself to a certain point in the recovery process.
He gave us some suppositories to try in conjunction with Cialis. Just a little extra "boost" that seems a little bit more "fun" than injections.
Other than that, Austin's a great party town, so this time we enjoyed it even more!
And last, (but not the last time), thanks to everyone here - you've been such a big part of our lives since last June, and we continue to learn from all the "noobs," and perhaps help a bit, too!
