some penis pain after catheter

I had my catheter taken out 6 days ago and sometimes have slight pain in my penis. I don't need pain pills for it , it's just alittle uncomfortable

Is this common due to the catheter?

I did not have any penis pain after my catheter removal.

Mgl,

I think most people are so relieved to have the catheter gone that they only experience joy....

I think some discomfort can be in order. However, mention it to your physician when you see him/her and take your temperature daily.

Hi MGL -- I had all kinds of sensations in my penis (still do at times) after the removaal of the cath. Sometimes I felt like someone was giving me electrical jolts from my backside to the tip of my you-know-what. Must have something to do with the nerves. But tell your doc. anyway. The surgery has all kinds of effects -- different for different guys. Best of luck with your continued recovery.
