Phil,
Yes, two weeks is too soon to make any assumptions.
I mentioned my sudden lack of control after some wine (See blue paragraph below.) to my Bio-feedback Therapist. She said that she had heard about this reponse from alcohol MANY times before. The basic message is to cut out all caffeine, citrus juices, alcohol, sodas, and more (I can't remember the entire list.) until you have some control. Then bring a little of one of these items back at a time until you have control with that item. Move slowly.

After a week of the least number of pads a day since surgery, I had my first drink of alcohol last Saturday night at a perfunctory job-related charity wine tasting. I drank about 7 ounces of (very expensive) wine. When I got home, I fell asleep in a chair and woke up two hours later soaking wet. I've never had problems dozing in a chair before. For the last three days, my control was terrible. Today control seems to have returned. Needless to say, I won't be drinking alcohol again anytime soon.
You are likely ALSO just one of those patients that have a bladder more sensitive to all the relocating and stretching.
When you are having problems with such a large amount of leaking when sleeping:
try the incontinence bed liners, and the men's brief underwear liners (holds 8 ounces) and a women's incontinence liner (positioned at 90 degrees to the men's , under the penis - - Holds 12 ounces).
I drank less water than normal and ealrlier than normal. However, I always drank at least 64 ounces every day. You might read my thread on "Zen and the Art of Symphonic Continence" if you have time. I think it is on page 6 or 7.
I'm in week 15 and leak some whenever I drink a lot - say a quart of milk - and do a lot of lifting.
Be a patient patient! You will recover!
