Bill- I hope I don't screw this up - it's been a very long day.....

Folks-

I had the great pleasure of meeting, and having dinner with, Bill (jetguy) this evening. The restaurant was lovely, the hostess and waitress were sweet and attentive, the food (we both had fish) was good and the conversation went from serious to emotional to laughter. Bill is one of the finest guys I've had the pleasure of meeting in my, soon to be, 64 years.

I find it difficult to thank the bxxxxxd, prostate cancer, for anything, but, that is what brought us together. I know Bill and I will be very good friends for as many years as the bxxxxxd gives me. Bill gets around the country fairly often, and I seriously suggest that, if he mentions he's going to be in your area, you contact him and arrange to meet for drinks or dinner. He's one hell of a guy.

My apologies for sounding like a gushing school girl.

I could not agree more on our friend Bill. It is amazing how small this old world is. When Dale and I met Bill we just had a few minutes to talk and get to know each other, but it was quality time to say the least. It is sad we have to make new friends under these terrible circumstances. We happen to live just a few miles from Lee and Buddy and met them after a little detective work and a chance meeting between my sister and Dale at the local YMCA. But you know friends are just that, FRIENDS, no matter how you meet.

This is terrific Les and Bill!  I agree with all that has been said.  We should take every opportunity to make a new friend.  I wish I could meet every one of you!  Friends make the world go around!

Hey Les,

It's 9:00 p.m. central and I just got home.  Out the door at 0615 tomorrow, so this will be short.

I agree with everything that Les said, but it's about him rather than me.  We had a great time and I'm already scheduled to be there in less than two weeks.  I hope we can get together again.

I'll be back Sunday evening and if it's not too late, I'll post more.

We'll be visiting family in Cleveland this weekend, but will be home late Monday. Write or call and let me know your plans re: visiting the Garden State.
