RTR,
You will feel better each day.
Yes, as Piano Man said, only take Tylenol/Acetamenaphine for fever.
Aspirin and Advil are verboten.
Drink extra water to help flush the anesthesia out of your system - no time to drink a lot of water as when you have the catheter in.......
I recommend reading Bluebird's "Journey" found in Lee/Bluebird's signature for some extensive advice on dealing with the catheter.
There have been several clever ideas for dealing with the bag while sleeping.
Gravity is important and someone's idea about
an empty 5 gallon bucket by the bed to hook the bag on seemed like a good idea.
Regardless, as Susan said - WALK!
Walk as you are able. A little more each time. A few more times each day.
If your catheter is to be left in two weeks, you could be up to maybe one hour walks by then. Many here walked a lot more before the catheter was removed.
Walking will make your body stronger in general and gently "massage" the pubic area that will be sore - at least in places - for some time. There is a lot to heal down there.
Otherwise, rest and take it easy.
Your full-time job for awhile is to deal with the catheter, walk, and
REST!
