First post DaVinci visit with robo doc today.

Hi kids,

Well we got the catheter out today.  DB was all clenched up and ready for pain, and the doc already had it removed.  I smiled.  All the path report was good news for DB and me too.  So now we are peeing all over the place cause the penis won't stay in the middle of the darn pad!!!  I told DB we are going to tape it in place tonight but he says no to that.  I got him a bunch of different types and brands, but since wearing  the Serenity, he isn't going to like the others.  Tomorrow will be his side of the family Christmas gathering and so we will be hoping it goes smoothly. We see the doc in 3 months for follow up PSA test.

Congrats!!!! Getting the catheter out is a great feeling!!!

Don't worry about overnight. For some magic reason, there is no leakage when sleeping. And also don't push yourself. Take time to heal.

Hi Les and DB -- you'll get through this. The pads are a PIB (pain in the butt) but this too shall pass.

Glad to hear that the catheter is gone!  Believe me, I know the anticipation of that pain & the relief when it was all over.  I think I left indentions on the exam table in anticipation of the removal.  Alas, it was almost a non event.
