Keep in mind that a standard celiac blood test only tests positive for 70% of those with celiac. Its possible to come back as a double negative if you have not had gluten in the weeks before testing. This does not mean to go crazy on gluten, making yourself sick before the test.
Gluten intolerance can manifest in similar damaging ways like celiac and should be taken seriously.
A few extended family members have celiac and gluten intolerance, and after extensive testing through Metametrix Clinical Labs: Complete GI Stool Profile, my results came back positive for gluten intolerance.
