Interesting, the first person I knew with celiac disease had such a severe case she could not cook wheat-based pasta in her house due to the gluten in steam! could not lick stamps... and many other problems. I seem to be less sensitive than many other people!

Yes, I'm also sensitive to airborne gluten - if I go visit someone who has cooked pasta, I will get symptoms. I've never liked licking stamps (even before I knew about my problem with gluten)...I use water instead for stamps & envelopes.

Daughter cannot go into bakeries, pizzerias, etc. When her father toasts regular bread just the odor from that brings on a huge headache.
