Ok so I know I"m not officially diagnoised with celiac but I am currently working with a gi doctor. So far the first step we've taken is blood work. I have this unbearable rash that will not go away in the most uncomfortable spot imaginable. Anyway, It seriously flared up on me this afternoon. I haven't changed any of my eatting habbits at this time until I know for sure what I'm dealing with. On with the post, anyway, conversation goes: Me: man I am really uncomfortable this evening. The rash seems flared up at the moment. I'm so sore. It's in a spot that makes it uncomfortable to sit. Hubby: What did you have to eat today? Me: I had some muffins for breakfast, a turkey sandwhich for lunch with mayo on it and some chips. Pretty typical for me. Hubby: it doesn't sound like you consumed that much glutten. Me: grrrr then not seconds after the conversation took place what comes on the news but a bit about how Glutten free is the next diet craze. I could just so see that bubble popping into my husband's brain thinking she's full of it. Has anyone else gone through this. I wanted to tell him I'm not trying to get involved in a craze that if this is celiac disease it is 100% necessary that I make these changes. I didn't argue though. I let it go even though it bothered me. I don't think he's going to fully understand all this. He doesn't fully understand half the things I have going on with me so I don't know why this would be any different. I never questioned anything about his back problems when he was trying to get that all figured out. I was very supportive and I would like to think I'll get that same support with this. It might take some time to get it all figured out. It might take a bit of testing. Do y'all ever get frustrated with family members that just don't get it no matter how you try and explain things to them. I really hope this doesn't become an issue that's my biggest concern besides my health.
