to answer your question, yes, I felt better on day two. But went back to my hypo self on 3rd day but on 5th day I essentially "woke up." I could feel the change. It has leveled off. I am on the 11th day and still feel fine. I am praying that my feet stop hurting.
The time of taking the synthroid is driving me batty!! I have tried morning, night and in middle of night.
Get this: I got up to take it at 1 am this morn and took it, and sat in front of computer for 15 mins. My druggist said do not lay down after you take it for 45 mins!!
So i went back to bed and this morn I got up and there was my pill in the kitchen. So i took it. Then I remembered I had taken one out of the bottle at 1 am. So i had two pills 6 hours apart. Boy. but no side effects so far.
I love coffee 1st thing in the morning so i don't like to wait 30 mins in the morning to have coffee.
so taking Syn at 11:30 pm will work best for me. I just have to be sure I don't eat after 6:30 pm or 7 so my stomach is empty. no more night time snacking I guess.
I assume if you have a thyroid condition, it does not get better by itself. The meds are necessary and it is a life long thing. You don't want to be going off and on. That could make you much worse.
