Who is the best pathologist for a second opinion on a biopsy?

I suppose that would depend on where you are. You might ask your surgeon and your primary care doctor for recommendations.

It is for my wife. Her surgeon is not being very helpful. Slides can be mailed from her surgeon to any good pathologist. We just need to figure out who are the good pathologists.

All I can suggest is to ask her PCP.

I'm sorry we're not equipped to provide referrals, especially since patients don't normally access pathologists directly. Good luck.

If you can't get the name of someone, I'd suggest contacting the nearest Comprehensive Cancer Center, I believe there at least 50 in the US. Most likely it is affiliated with a major university in the area. They get their designation from the government.
