can recent iodine contrast affect tsh test

ive been arguing with my doctor about my sub-clinical hypothyroid condition

i tested 4.5 tsh...but...

this was within 2 weeks of not once but twice being given an iodine contrast dye

,im saying the test results could have been skewed by the iodine x 2

but im being told this is no big deal,,

am i nuts ...i cant find where i read this on the net, but clearly recall i did

does anyone have info as to whether or not iodine contrast affects tsh reading an if so would it move up or down?

My doctor told me today that I can't have a follow up (6 month) scan (I am finishing up a RAI treatment) after have a CT with contrast until 2 months after the CT. Instead, we're going to schedule my scan for before the CT. (We have enough time to do that). Prior to doing the initial scan and RAI treatment, I had to be on a low iodine diet for a week or two.

All that said, I'm not sure if the iodine levels will change the blood test. I've never been told to avoid iodine prior to having labs done, and my doctor is pretty thorough.

I just found a study that found sub-clinical changes after iodine contrast within 1 week (peaking Day 3), but nothing substantial. http://www.liebertonline.com/doi/abs/10.1089/1050725041517075 Keep in mind that this is one study.
