Hello all, I hope you are all doing better or at least have answers. I am a 47 year old woman who has been suffering from the following symptoms since 3/12: pressure headaches, abdominal pains on the left upper quadrant, joint pain, pain behind my eyes, muscle pains, constipation, pins and niddles pains starting at my toes, numbness and tingling on the left side of my body from toe to head, pain behind my lower back, blurred vision, anxiety, insomnia, brown spots on my face, and depression. All of these symptoms have been very costly and poor quality of life with my family. I visited 12 specialists and only 2 gave me the answer I was looking for or at least tried their best in practicing their profession. The rest dismissed most of my symptoms by saying there were so many out of order and gave me pain pills. It has been frustrating and very deteriorating to my life until a PA suspected thyroid problems and send me for a full blood workout. Then, she saw that the lab work came back with a lot of red flags pertaining to thyroid elements out of order. Then she sent me to an endocrinologist who is checking me for pituitary tumor and I will be going next week for a Pituitary MRI and a stimulation blood test to be able to get medicine that will regulate my thyroid.
This site has been very helpful to me during all of this hard time that pushed me to reach out to others for support or answers. Let me tell you, I feel more calmed and have hope that I will get better after so many tests checking for MS, lupus, cancer, etc. I want to tell those out there who feel stressed out and that your body is not as strong as it used to be. PLEASE, PLEASE don't give up and continue to look for the best and more suitable doctors and treatment for you. Start by eating healthy and ask questions to your doctor. If you have some of these symptoms, ask your primary doctor to send you for a full panel of blood work for thyroid; by doing this you will save money, stress and confusion. Also, whenever you feel lost, and don't know which doctor to visit, ask a doctor for his opinion and suggestions. YOU must be proactive and do research before you see your doctor, so you can get more questions answered.
I still feel trapped in all of these illnesses because no medicine has been prescribed yet, but in the meantime, I am praying, eating healthy, exercising, and going to a chiropractor. These has given me some relief and hope that my health will be restored to whole. I also hope that you will keep your spirits high and get well soon. I will get back to this site to post my progress next week.
Warm regards, Willgetwellsoon
