Recently started Naturethroid and having problems with Lyme and Hypothyroidism.

I am posting with a question about my recent diagnosis to Hypothyroid.
I began to take Naturethroid, and about one month in started to have strange reactions.

I developed acne again, had conjunctivitis in both eyes, and got a really bad throat infection around the same time as well. I feel like beginning the medication I felt great for about three weeks, then started to feel worse and worse. My joints all ache, I cant think straight, I have an of appetite, I am still gaining weight as well.

On top of all of this, I also have been taking medication for suspected Lyme disease. Once starting that everything REALLY got worse.

I post on the Lyme thread a lot, but I am wondering if anyone else has seen an INCREASE of symptoms once they started medication. I feel like everything is just stirred up. I dont know if its the lyme or the thyroid or both?

Could this be what is happening?
I am scared to raise it again (I am at 1 3/4 grain) because I dont want to feel worse.

Do you have your last thyroid related blood tests results with reference range to post?
It is highly likely that you are either under or over medicated and that what causes your symptoms, the symptoms you mention are all thyroid symptoms

Your s/s are hypothyroid. I was on Snthyroid for 3 years and felt horrible (some of the s/s your describe exp. the weight gain). I started Natures Thyroid 3 months ago and feel like a new person. I started on Natures Thyroid 65 mg every day. My TSH was 24 very high and Thyroid Antibodies > 1000. And very low T3 and T4.
My suggestion to everyone out there with Thyroid disease is find a doctor who knows how to treat thyroid disease - not many actually do even endocrinologist. Labs to monitor to adjust thyroid medication is T3 and T4 and TSH. Thyroid Antibodies level is a must lab value if you have Hashimoto's disease , Change your diet to GLUTEN FREE as much as possible. I am about 90% Gluten free. No Breads, No wheat etc.
After three months of tx my TSH is 3.35, T4 and T 3 WNL and antibodies still high but coming down. I have also lost 19 of the 25 i put on without even trying.
Hashimoto's is an inflammatory process and antibodies attach your system.
YOU NEED TO have your dose increased. Natures Thyroid is a T3 and T4 medicine without additives. Natures Thyroid was a life saver for me.....I know have my life back, I am able to think, sleep, no more heart palpations, No more body aches or itchy dry skin. etc.

Saw your post.

YOu most likely are suffering from the dreaded Herxheimer Reaction.  This is caused by the die off of bacteria of the lyme spirochete.  They produce biotoxins when killed, and therefore will make you feel like crap. Even worse than before treatment.  There are many ways to detox for the herx.

Hope this helps.   ABX make us sick for that reason, die off.
