Hello All:
A couple years ago my doctor thought I had thyroid problems so she had it tested and the results came back normal. Fastforward to the end of 2013. I now have a goiter that raises some concern with my doctor again. I get tested and these are my results.
T4, Free - 1.06 ng/dL
T4, Free - 3.3 pg/mL
TSH - 2.55 ulU/mL
TPO - 561 lu/mL
She said they were normal other than my TPO and had me take another test. Second results.
T4, Free - .85 ng/dL
T4, Free - 3.0 pg/mL
TSH - 1.97 ulU/mL
She didn't retest my antibodies. In a couple of week I go back in for another blood test.
A little bit of background on me. I have celiac disease, IBS and microscopic colitis when it flares up. Does anyone have any tips/pointers of what to do/ask at my next appointment? This is my regular doctor, not a specialist.
Thanks!

You need to see a top endocrinologist, pick one with great ratings. You simply tell your doctor that your Heath is deteriorating and you would like a referral to (the one you've chosen that accepts your insurance).
Hope that helps

The thing is I have been telling my doctor that I haven't been feeling well. That was why she tested it a couple years ago. It seems like she just isn't that interested in helping me. I have thought about
seeing a new doctor but since I have my history there I don't want to start new and have to explain my medical history to someone again and again until I find a new doctor. I had heard good things about
this doctor before, that is why I went to her but I feel she just doesn't really care unless I have a current emergency. I will ask for a referral when I am in next. Thank you for your input!
