help understanding TSH levels

Hello,

I have had my TSH levels checked 3 times in the past 6 months here are my results:

4/7/14 5/9/14 9/18/14

0.7mU/L 1.3mU/L 0.6mU/L

T4 Free done on 05/09/14 1.1ng/dL


I am not sure if these are normal or not, I just do not feel like myself. Doctors say that I have Anxiety and that is it.

Hi,

What is the reference range for the FT4 ?

Your TSH is not normal, it is low in the range, with these results I will feel hyperthyroid !

You need also to get tested for the thyroid antibodies, these are TPOab,TGab and TSIab, to see if you have an autoimmune disease.

Also thyroid ultrasound might be useful ,to see if you have nodules.
What symptoms do you have ?Do you have palpitations, anxiety, blurred vision, tightness of breath ?

Hi,

I have extreme anxiety, blurred vision, high pulse rate usually in the 95-110 range, muscle spasm, tingling in the hands and feet (like shaking from the inside) in particular on my right side.


I have seen multiple specialist for multiple things. I just asked My GP to order a a complete Thyroid panel?

Your symptoms do sound like you're hyperthyroid, too. A complete thyroid panel should help sort things out. If you still have questions after that, get a copy of your report from the doctor and post your results (with the reference numbers), and we'll see what that says.

Since labs differ in their references, it's difficult to accurately interpret results without the reference numbers.
