I was diagnosed about
12 years ago with Hashimoto's Hypothyroidism. I have it very bad as my antibodies have always been >3000 (that's as high as they can measure). They have never been less than that. The whole time, I have suffered from very bad brain fog. The kind where my cognitive skills are almost completely gone. It has caused major issues in my life.
I have always requested the natural, bio-identical hormones (i.e. Armour) and have been on them for almost the whole time. I tried Synthroid for a short time and it didn't seem to work so I just keep with what I felt was working.
Yesterday, I watched a video by Dr. Datis Kharrazian and he was talking about
how some people with Hashimoto's can't handle Thyroid medications that provides T3 because they already have T3 from the breaking down of the thyroid. It ends up being too much and causes issues. It made me start thinking.
So I have 2 questions:
1. Has anyone been able to overcome the brain fog and if so, how? If you could help me, you'd have a friend for life
2. Has anyone with Hashimoto's NOT done well on the natural form of Thyroid medicine?
Thank you.
