I got blood tests taken almost two months ago and here are the results:

08.09.16:

TSH: 0.50 with a arrow down
T4: 22.5 with a arrow up
T3: 3.7

16.09.16:

TSH: 0.55 with a arrow down
T4: 21.8
T3: 3.5


I am a 22 old years male with a weight around 60 kg. I have always struggled to put on weight, despite of eating more and doing bodybuilding. I also have severe acid reflux, which oddly enough is at it worst after i exercised very intensively.

On the 10th December 2015 i got the Nissen fundoplication. In August-September, i had yellow stool and pale colored stool. My surgeon said it could be of problems with the metabolism, because the food just goes down too quickly.

Other symptoms:
- Dry skin and scaly eczema for like six years
- Mood swings has been very extreme, i can almost at times feel suicidal or being very sad.
- Having a real hard time getting weight, almost impossible.
- Fatigue
- Sleep quality has become very low

Hi Benjawood,

Your TSH is indeed indicative of being hyper, you need to test for the thyroid antibodies which if positive are the cause for your hyper, there are three of them that you need to perform; TGab, antiTPOab and TSI, the first two are the cause for hashimoto's disease and the last one is for Graves disease.

You need to set an appointment with an Endocrinologist and to go with the tests above and the antibodies, based on the reason for your hyper your endo will decide for the right treatment for you, this is also should be based on the results of the thyroid and neck ultra sound which you have to perform to see whether you have nodules on your thyroid gland, if your family doctor can give you a referral for these tests and to go to the endo with the results it would be great.

You can search on the web for possible hyper symptoms.

Hyper can cause palpitations, fatigue, depression and feeling very sad, weight loss and much more.
