Which brand name of Levothyroxine? or the generic version ?

Tirosint is a Levothyroxine brand name, it is made from gel capsule and thus contains minimal amounts of additives and fillers but the active ingredient is the same.

Armour is made from powdered porcine thyroid glands and thus contain amounts of T3 much more than what humans need, it is not approved by the American FDA.

It could be that the problem is not with the Levo it self but with the dose not being adjusted properly, or not related to thyroid.

Also Tirosint is very expensive and is made in Switzerland.

It could be the hypo/hyper caused by the illness but if you are under medicated you will still be hypo and if you are over medicated then you will be hyper, once your dose is adjusted properly then you should be symptom free.

Hashi by itself does not cause symptoms it is the resulting hypo/hyper that causes symptoms and that need to be balanced by medication, in case of hypo (under active thyroid) then it is Levothyroxine .

Cycling lady did u ever get dizzy? Thx for the positive feedback to all on this thread. I'm upset and can't stop crying and super bad dizzy and brain fog Balance cognitive issues. Also impacted bad from barium test. Asked my kid to have me committed as I feel like I lost mind but he said no, said my gi after 3 tummy surgeries and thyroid and no ability to handle meds is making me super physical sick not crazy. Hashimotos is aka crazy b syndrome. Idk how to get thyroid gi and my emotions to quiet.

Someone else said their Benzo use caused their hashi. Other opinions ? Like Xanax.

ER is not the right choice for thyroid related issues, thyroid needs a prolonged follow up and thus you need to save your money and to find a good endo to treat you, and you need to find what is your TSH and on what dose of Levo and for how much time have you been on it !

With no teeth and no ability to eat meats and veggies this is one reason my thyroid numbers r getting worse. Tirosint caused vomit and armour caused bad vertigo and insurance won't pay for them Not sure how long I have to live. Also 3 Fundoplications with gastroparesis and bacterial overgrowth gone wrong. No sleep at all on Levo. I'm dying.

Have you considered juicing or smoothies. Get a juicer and a food processor and make juice and smoothies. It is a way you can have access to the fruits and vegetables which have the vitamins and minerals necessary for good health.
