Hi friends -
First, my hope is that all of you are well and staying safe.
I'm writing to see if someone can offer insight - I'm at a loss, my doctors are stumped, and I just don't know where to turn. For years I have been dealing with symptoms that are textbook hyperthyroid. Every doctor and specialist I see, no matter their specialty, says it is hyperthyroid when I explain my symptoms. Then the labs are run and my thyroid numbers are perfect so they say it is not my thyroid. I have all all of the thyroid blood tests run many times as well as several ultrasounds. For what it is worth, my maternal grandfather and both of my mother's siblings are all hyperthyroid so there is a strong familiar history. Just a few of my symptoms are:weight loss and inability to gain, no matter how much I eat, hair loss/shedding/thinning - on head AND body, fatigue, vibrating sensation throughout body, etc... I've read that years ago before testing was available, they would treat on symptoms alone. I surely would have fallen into that category. Important to note, too, is that I have seen dozens upon dozens of every type of specialist and have had numerous tests over the year, everything comes back normal. I just would like to feel normal again. All of these symptoms have taken a toll on my whole being, I just don't know what to do anymore. Has anyone experienced anything similar? Any input and advice are much appreciated. Be well
