I was diagnosed with it a month ago and was put on Synthroid 75mg. How long does it take to work? The dr said I should start feeling better after 2 wks, the pharmacist said 6. I still have no energy, need to nap and even then I wake up, I feel groggy and disoriented and there are days I can't even sit up for long because I just feel plain sick. If I have to go to appts or even shop, the next day, I am zapped even worse.

I'm really tired of feeling this way. I have kids that need me. My housework is suffering, which I hate lol

For me it takes 6 weeks. Your doctor should have given you a return appointment in about 3 months to check you levels again, as it sometimes takes some fine tuning to get the dosage correct.

I finally got to my level after two years of continual adjustments in meds. It can take a long time before you find your optimal dose.

I felt better in one day, but it turned out they were overdosing me and I had to drop back. It took about two months on the higher dose before I was feeling horrible again. They tested me and dropped me back to 75mg.
It sometimes takes time to get it right.
