Armour for Thyroid Disease?

Does anyone take Armour for thyroid disease? I have been taken Levothyroxine for about 5 years and my thyroid is all over the place. my prescription was recently increased to 100. Even with medication, my thyroid has not been in check for years. I suspect the lyme is and has been playing games with it, but I have not been tested for lyme until 2 years ago, and I will never know if the Lyme caused the thyroid problem since I don't know when I got bit. THanks!

Hi,
I had my thyroid removed in 1990 and asked about Armour and my endocrinologist does not use Armour because each pill is different dosages.
Do you see a endocrinologist or a regular doctor?
I was seeing a regular doctor for years and had a weight problem and food wasn't my enemy so I finally went to an Endo Doctor and he found that I have an insulin resistance problem due to the lack of a thyroid. I was put on Metformin and lost 40 lbs within a 5 month period. I am on Levothyroxine .88 mg as he lowered it from 100 mg.
If your not seeing an Endo doctor, I would recommend you do as they know more. You must feel terrible if your thyroid levels are all over the place.
