Hypo and swelling of hand, ankles, face is puffy...??

I had a TT Feb 2011. I have finally gotten my levels within normal range TSH is 1.92. T free is 1.8

Gp checked.. PTH 19 and Calcium at 9.7

However I am still have swelling of the ankles, hands, and around my eyes.

The doctor says i should give the meds more time and that the swelling should go away... if not then i need to see a cardiologist to get my heart checked.

I don't see the Endo til May 5th.

Has anyone else had problems with swelling even when levels are normal?

Yes, I do have some swelling in my face, but not my hands or feet, even though I am at a good level with the meds (synthroid) and my blood count is good.

However, I am also on low-dose prednisone and the doctors think the swelling is actually from that and not the synthroid.

I have swelling of my hands, feet, and legs. I've recently found out I have an Autoimmune disease. It could be a link.

I have problems with my hands swelling. But I have not asked my doctor about my thyroid causing the swelling. I have sjorgen and RA also. But I will ask my doctor tomorrow and let you know what she said. MY RA doctor said that I may have Pulmonary hypertension . So Im scheduling an appt this week.
I will let you know as soon as I have more info.
