hives anyone?

I've had chronic hives for around 2 and a half months now... All over my body, head to toe, even my face (ew) and I was hospitalized once for my lips swelling up/ angioedema. I take 4 xyzol per day, 1 singulair in the evening, occasional benadryl as needed, and I took prednisone for a week after going to the ER. The prednisone was the only thing that cleared them up... But no one has been able to find a cause for the hives. I had blood work done and the doctor said everything was normal; but I looked at it myself and my TSH was 3.14.... Couldn't that be considered slightly elevated maybe?? I've heard some people say normal levels is between .3-3, and others say up to 5.

I am so desperate for a cure for this. These hives are completely controlling my life. If anyone knows anything at all or has any advice..I'm doing a gluten-free diet because I don't know what else to do, even though he said I'm not celiac...Please help!!

There is a disease, called Chronic hives. However, you seem to have it since your pregency. I am thinking perhaps going back to the old school idea of what you have changed in your life. Like detergent, soaps, shampoos, clothing material, houses, apartments, furniture.
Perhaps getting an allergest to test you for allergies.

I don't actually have visible hives but I have a constant itch all over my body which drives me crazy. I've heard this can be caused by your thyroid but I'm afraid to take somethig like Benadryl as I'm afraid it will make me fall asleep at work....is there a non-drowsey Benadryl?
