Hi everyone,
So I've had a thyroid disorder which started two years ago. since then I had hyperthyroid with very low TSH levels .00 and couple of months ago was elevated to 6.25 the endrocanoligist said that it probably was a virus and would resolve on it's own. something was attacking the gland in my neck. But what? now my thyroid levels are in ranges and still having symptoms. what ever it is; still causing me problems. I had Antibody and ANA test both was negative. I did a thyroid scan that didn't show anything. I need to start a treatment plan but can't if I don't know the cause.

Welcome to the forum. It sure sounds like you might have Hashimoto's which can cause a

person to alternate from hypothyroidism to hyperthyroidism. You mention that you have had

antibody tests. Did you have both Thyroid peroxidase antibody (TPO Ab) and thyroglobulin

antibody ( Tg Ab) tests? Make sure that you have both tests done and if they did come

back in the normal range, I would get retested when your symptoms are present. The

tests can fluctuate so just because they are normal at one time, they can change when

your thyroid gland is getting attacked.
