Armor thyroid ??

I am on ARmour and have not had the problem that you are experienceing. However, I have

been thinking about your problem and was thinking that you might have a problem with T3.

Have you had lab tests lately? Have you had free T3 and free T4 checked? The reason I'm

thinking that it might be T3 is because unlike Synthroid, which is just T4, ARmour also has

T3 which has a short half-life, something like 8 to 12 hours. I have read that T3 peaks about

two hours after you take it, and slowly decreases. So that seems to fit with your symptoms

occurring about 4 hours later. You might talk to your doctor about this.

Maybe you could time a blood test for free T3 about 4 hours after you take Armour and see

what you get. You might also talk to your doctor about increasing the Armour and splitting

it in two dosages daily, or adding a synthetic T3, Cytomel. There has to be some sort of

solution. Have you ever been on any other thyroid med? How long have you been on Armour?

Have you increased it from the original dose? Sorry, so many questions. I hope you can get

some relief.

I have a question regarding the pricing of armour thyroid. I go to an alternative doctor who is excellent and does not chase symptoms but gets to the bottom of things. According to her (I have hashi's) no auto immune disorder should just be treated by symptoms because it is a sign that something is wrong underneath or else your body would not attack itself to begin with.

She has unbelievable protocols. One is called UBI which irradiates your blood and when it goes back in it tends to wipe out the issues causing these problems. You need a bunch of these, about 10-20 and they are not cheap but they are not ridiculous either. However, her price for armour is $39 and I have never seen it anywhere that high. Is there some special armour that is more expensive than what I see for between 9 and 12 dollars? that is for 1 grain, 30 month supply.

I get 60 tablets, a 2 month supply for me, for $14 so it seems like you are really paying
too much. It would be interesting to see if your doctor would be willing to write a prescription
for Armour so you can get it at a pharmacy. If she's not willing to do that, I would be very
careful about the treatments and associated costs.

I agree with her that it is important to treat the autoimmune aspects but that's the million
dollar question. If they knew for sure how to stop the body from attacking itself, then we
wouldn't have all of these dreaded autoimmune diseases. I have never heard of UBI, have
you noticed any difference since starting the treatments?
