Newly Diagnosed, Synthroid Side Effects

For anyone with hypothyroid symptoms: please get your antibodies tested to check for Hashimotos.
If you have Hashimotos, please be aware that the standard routine of treatment (thyroid supplements) is insufficient.
In a nutshell: Hashi's isn't a thyroid disorder. It's an autoimmune disorder, often stemming from diet and digestive issues. Supplements can be important for helping your body perform in the short term, but they do not address the chronic degradation that the disease causes. That needs to be addressed far more holistically, with diet and lifestyle changes.
