Hi Steven,
Welcome to the forum. It sounds like you have really been having problems. You
say that you have had all sorts of tests. I found a very good article about diagnosing
hyerthyroidism/Graves disease. It mentions the TSIab test that hypoHashimoto talked about
and calls it Thyroid Receptor Antibodies (TRAb) / Thyroid-Stimulating Immunoglobulins (TSI).
Also mentions having a radioactive iodine uptake (RAI-U). Did you have either of those
tests?
Check out the article at
http://thyroid.about.com/od/hyperthyroidismgraves/a/diagnosis.htm
It not only mentions the tests, but also what should be included in the examination.
If you still are having problems, I would recommend a second opinion, if you live
near one, going to a teaching hospital or at least a clinic that specializes in endocrine
diseases. You know your body and you know that there is something wrong, so keep
asking questions until you find someone who has the answers. Good luck. Let
us know what you find out.
