So frustrated, trying to figure out lab results for parathyroid glands!

Hello, I'm trying to understand the reference ranges for my pth test, could someone explain this?

PTH Intact:   my value  17.7

Reference range: 10.0- 65.0 unit PG/ML

Interpretive Guide Intact PTH Calcium

Normal parathyroid function  Normal/Normal

Hypoparathyroidism low or low normal/ low

primary hyperparathyroidism normal or high / high

secondary hyperparathyroidism high/normal or low

tertiary hyperparathyroidism high/high

non parathyroid hypercalcemia

low or low normal / high

Thanks for the information, I have looked into what the symptoms mean, and the test results also. It appears to be a problem, possibly a tumor in one or more parathyroid glands. Cancers and problems with the parathyroids is rare because it is ysyally found in those with multiple endocrine neoplasms [MEN-1] like I have found that I have when I got genetic testing done in 2011. I had tumors in my pancreas when I was born, and had my pancreas partially removed at 3 months, and when the tumors were found in the remaining 45% the rest of my pancreas was removed. 96% was removed due to multiple tumors in my pancreas. MEN-1 also can cause tumors in the parathyroid glands and pituitary gland, and those tumors can spread to the bones and other organs..... Sigh... Need to wait another 6 weeks to find out what it means as far as the Dr. is concerned.
