No disrespect intended, but iodine deficiency is very common in the modern world according to the World Health Organization and the last two NHANES studies. There is a ever growing number of doctors who are re-discovering one of the oldest, most effective and safest nutritional supplement/medication ever used in medicine. It's even been found to have been used in ancient civilizations in South America. It's IODINE. I take 18.75mg a day and I feel GREAT! Taking iodine, however, does have its ups and downs. Because of a few of toxins common in the modern world (bromine, clorine and flourine) that displace iodine in the tissues when iodine is deficient, when one begins to take iodine, these toxic substances are mobilized and excreted via the urine, bowels, skin. The mobilization of these chemicals can be an unpleasant experience. For more information, google youtube for videos by Dr. Jorge Flechas, Dr. Sherry Tenpenny, Dr. Jerry Tennet.
