Hi all,
This is my first time posting here and I would absolutely love some help figuring out what is wrong with me...
I just turned 21 in May. I am a full time student and work in the air force reserves. My baseline weight is 160 and I am 5'8. Over the past year I started to gain weight. I went from 160 in July 2012 to 170 in December 2012. During this time I exercised at least 3 times a week and ate healthy foods in average sized portions. In January of this year I continued to battle my weight. I became really disheartened by my efforts and lack of results. I became really depressed (which I blamed on the weight) and exhausted. I was unable to concentrate and my grades dropped. I have been a straight A student for three years of college. Last semester I slept though most of my classes and received Cs and Bs after finals in May.
In May, I weighed in again at 175. I became more depressed and devoted the past month to getting back to the healthy fit woman I am use to seeing in the mirror. Today, June 20th, I weigh 185 pounds. I eat less then 1300 calories a day (lots of greens and proteins) and work out at least for 1 hour (high intensity cardio, cross fit, etc). After my daily work outs, I go to physical therapy to work on my muscles that have been extremely tight and sore over the past year. My lower stomach feels bloated and swollen. My face is puffy. My periods are irregular and heavy and I am constipated (1-2 bowel movements per week). I feel like I have so many symptoms that would match a hypothyroid problem yet my lab work came back today saying I was normal.
