It seems like I learn more surfing the net than I do from my Drs! My PCP did a TSH that was a little off. So I asked for a Reverse T3 test because of a show my mom saw with Dr Oz. It was off too, that's why I was referred to an Endocrinologist. My PCP never pretended to know anything about
thyroid issues, I have had symptoms my entire life, born with red cheeks that never faded , dry brittle hair from birth, brittle nails always, tired, trouble with weight, sleeping all day, trouble sleeping @ night, insomnia, lower back pain, carpal tunnel, foggy memory, constipation, migraines....etc etc.
I'm glad my PCP referred me, her idea was depression meds, I HAD CANCER!!!....but it just seems like they are not trying to get to the bottom of my problems. I'm on Liothyronine twice a day...I'm tired, cranky, forgetful and my weight is up and down within a 6 lb range. I basically feel drained every day! What kind of tests should I be asking the new Endo to run? I won't start the Levo med until after the RAI. Will I feel like this until I do?
I'm not good @ being my own Dr. I feel like I'm losing it!!
I need advise if you have had any of these issues! Thanks!!
