Hi I had my thyroid removed 4 weeks but have be experiencing some difficulties that are destressing me as well as my quality of life is very poor!!! Sorry if that sounds over the top but thatIis exactly how it feels.
Once I woke up from the surgery and tried to spoke I noticed I had no voice!! But a extremely quite whisper when I put all effort into speaking. Still 4 weeks later im no different!! I have to use the full air in my lungs just to say 2-3 words and having to keep stopping when saying a sentence to breath as its a struggle. So just having a conversation tries me out!! People find it really hatd to hear and even understand me as sometimes its hard to pronounce words. Even making a phone call at the moment is none exciton I simply cant do it physically!!!
I also find it hard to do anything such as simply getting dressed has me where I struggle to breath so doing thing's like taking my son to school will have me wiped out all day.
Im choking stilk a lot when eating and drinking but more so drinking. Im unable to cough properly and find it difficult to clear the build up you get at back of throat. Also feeling very unwell.
I was wondering if anyone has had the same problems, if anyine knows what it could be or how long will it take to sort out as I said earlier its really stressful and I need some advice and help
Thankyou
