Hello, I am new here . I am a 38 yr old mother of 2.
Over the last 2 years I have been dealing with strange symptoms. It began about
one month after I stopped taking birth control pills, which I had been on for 21. years aside from the 4 years I spent pregnant/nursing/ trying to conceive.
First it was lightheadedness when standing up from sitting, then burning headaches, anxiety, muscle twitching, tingling and numbness in my arms legs and fingers... I went to 2 different primary care doctors, a neurologist, had several tests on my nerves, blood work , urinalysis, and 2 mris.
Everything came back normal. Eventually, the headaches, numbness and tingling went away, but the muscle twitches are still there as we as random aches and pains. Recently, I have also experienced an occasional sunburn sensation on parts ofmy skin .
My primary checked my TSH levels once last summer (3.28) and twice this summer (3.57, then 3.68).
I was told my level is normal by one doctor and borderline by another... Which is it??
Could hyphypothyroidism be causing my symptoms? Why do the doctors have differing opinions??
